Delete your Pinride account
Last updated: 26 June 2026
This page explains how to delete your Pinride account and the data associated with it, and what is removed or kept. Pinride is a check-in app for motorcyclists, operated by Simon Wessel as an individual developer.
Delete from within the app (fastest)
- Open Pinride and go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and the data listed below are removed straight away.
If you no longer have the app installed
Email [email protected] from the Google or Apple account you signed in with, and ask us to delete your Pinride account. We will action the request and delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in identity (the email and display name from your Google or Apple sign-in).
- Photos you attached to check-ins.
- Free-text notes and the precise GPS location recorded with your check-ins.
- Your personal rewards history (XP, achievements, and "first here" markers).
What is kept, anonymised
To keep the shared map accurate, the structured ratings you gave places are retained, but unlinked from you — they no longer identify you and become anonymous community data. Places you added to the map remain, with your authorship removed. Under the GDPR, anonymised data is no longer personal data; it is kept indefinitely as part of the public map.
Retention
Identifying and personal data (above) is deleted within 30 days of your request — immediately when you use the in-app button. Anonymised ratings and added places are kept indefinitely as non-personal map data.
