Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 June 2026

Pinride ("Pinride", "we", "us") is a check-in app for motorcyclists. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it. It is written for the EU/EEA market (Sweden) and follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Simon Wessel, operating Pinride as an individual developer. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact [email protected].

What we collect

What is public

Pinride is a shared map. The following are visible to other riders: places you add, the ratings you submit (shown in aggregate per place), photos you attach to a check-in, and your display name. Treat anything you add to a check-in or photo as public.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

How long we keep it

We keep your personal data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account), which removes it straight away; you can also request deletion by email or via our account deletion page, and we will action it within 30 days. When an account is deleted we remove your identifying data — sign-in identity and email, check-in photos, notes, and precise location — and anonymise the rest: the ratings you gave places are kept but unlinked from you, so the shared map stays accurate. Anonymised data is no longer personal data and is kept indefinitely. See the account deletion page for the full breakdown.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that run the app's infrastructure (our hosting and database provider, Supabase) under appropriate data-processing terms, and where required by law.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, a copy of your data (portability), restriction of, or objection to, certain processing, and withdrawal of consent. To make a request, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Sweden, the Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).

Children

Pinride is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age required to consent to data processing in their country.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
